Jobber CEO Sam Pillar wants to build Edmonton's first billion dollar tech company
In a recent interview with The Logic, Jobber CEO Sam Pillar discusses his ambitions to generate $1 billion in revenue. The company currently has "over 70,000 active customers in 43 customers" and Pillar says "there are five million businesses in North America that could be using Jobber." He thinks the company could get to the billion-dollar revenue marker in "years...not decades."
Jobber has raised $10 million over four raises, the last in 2015 led by OMERS. It's Series A round was use primarily for product development and sales & marketing. While providing no specifics, Pillar confirmed that the company "very likely will be raising more capital."
Pillar also commented on a potential exit for the company. "I'd be very proud one day to do what Shopify did for Ottawa and for Canada, and for Jobber to do that via IPO in Edmonton and also for Canada," he says.
