The Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in Texas has planned a landing that includes prep sessions, insights on reaching prospects in Texas, facilitated networking, concierge connections and opportunities to keep your momentum going with post SXSW engagement opportunities. This collaboration is designed to provide meaningful connections that are relevant, memorable and good for business. Participation takes place on-the-ground in Austin and via scheduled teleconferences. This program does not include grants for travel or registration for SXSW 2018. The Middle East is on the verge of a massive digital disruption. The MEA region has a significant and growing population of online gamers - 587 million in 2017 - and is starting to have an impact on the region's share of gaming profit. To capitalize on this growth trend, Wavefront will work with the Trade Commissioner Service in the UAE and Kuwait to bring a small group of Digital Content and Mobile Gaming companies to the UAE and Kuwait to attend the Digital Games Conference in Dubai and participate in tailored B2B meetings with potential customers and partners from across the region. The program will include B2B matchmaking meetings and networking with local industry contacts, targeted 1:1 meetings, attending the conference.

Canadian Digital Media Network SOFTLANDING PROGFRAM
Application for spring cohort open: Jan 29-Feb 11, 2018 The CDMN Soft Landing program offers qualified, mature startups and SMEs exposure to business opportunities outside of Canada. Companies can utilize this program to open new markets, close international sales, secure investment and connect with new partners abroad. Successful candidates will receive up to $4,000 Cdn in reimbursable expenses to help offset transportation and accommodation costs. Companies landing at a co-working space, accelerator or incubator may also have the costs associated with workspace covered for up to three months. Both the location and the specific landing facility are always determined by the company based on their business needs and market pull.
If you get funding, you can use the $4,000.00 for travel between March – June 2018
NUCLIS GRANT - Call for R&D Collaboration Catalonia –Canada
Catalonia’s UNILATERAL NUCLIS grant is now officially launched.
NUCLIS, the Call for Industrial Research and Experimental Development Funding in Catalonia, was launched today and the deadline is March 1st 2018. Nuclis grants are available for TRL3 to TRL7, and finance R&D projects to obtain prototypes and demonstrations of new products, processes, technologies. The aim is to promote R&D partnership projects between Catalan & Canadian firms and institutions. Project’s minimum budget: 150,000 euros. Direct and non-refundable grant of up to 200,000 euros. Grant intensity: up to 25-50%, depending on the company’s size and the nature of its activities. Nuclis grants are complementary to various Canadian grants and subsidies, including NRC-IRAP. Nuclis only funds the Catalan portion – Canadians can self-finance or use local programmes.
