The BLG Business Venture Clinic is a unique program that partners local entrepreneurs with law students from the Faculty of Law who provide free legal information. 

Special Programming and Events

The Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking is a host and partner in support of on and off campus events for the UCalgary community.

Cannon LaChapelle Award

This award is directed toward undergraduate students who embody entrepreneurial thinking. The successful applicant will demonstrate creativity and innovation in new ways of doing, helping, thinking and supporting the UCalgary campus community and/or society beyond.

Value: $10,000

Number of Awards for 2019/2020: 1

Open for all undergraduate students from all faculties.

Deadline: TBD for 2020

Academic merit: Minimum 2.60 GPA

Global Entrepreneurship Week

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is “the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare.” A truly international event celebrating innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity, GEW brings together aspiring and inspiring entrepreneurs, intrapraneurs, designers and innovative thinkers in over 165 countries on campuses and in the communities they serve. In 2019, GEW runs November 18 - 22. The Hunter Hub participates in a campus-wide celebration of GEW through the GEW Engagement Fund. Learn more.
